Tai Chi Chuan Exercises, Push Hands & Qigong
On Saturdays, we start with gentle qigong breathing and light stretching, then cover how energy flows through diffrent exercises including push hands. Discover the underlying philosophy and history of the Chinese arts.

Tai CHI EXERCISES - activities to focus on different aspects of tai chi such as improving circulation, balance and strength and learning how energy flows.
Tai Chi is a noncompetitive, self-paced system of gentle physical exercise, coordinated with breathing and flow of energy (chi) to maximize the relationship between body, mind and spirit.
You will learn proper technique in order to gain the full benefits of tai chi. The Academy will also help you to discover the underlying philosophy and intent of each movement.
Sticky Hands / Push Hands - a traditional Chinese exercise emphasising proper technique as opposed to brute force. Students learn to sense an opponent's push (or attack) and redirect the energy away while maintaining balance.
Qigong / Chi Kung Meditation - a series of meditative postures, breathing techniques and gentle movements developed to maintain a healthy mind and body.
Chi Kung is practiced for its preventive and curative effects, however our Kung Fu students will also find that it enhances their martial abilities.
